CHICAGO — According to the careers section of their website, The AV Club is seeking someone with a DC Universe login that they can use to review the exclusive shows on the streaming platform.
“The AV Club is looking for a working DC Universe account so that we can provide up-to-date coverage on all the neat shows that everyone keeps telling us about,” read a recent blog post on the site. “With the recent success Doom Patrol and Titans and other highly anticipated series like Swamp Thing and Stargirl coming later this year, we feel really out of the loop and are eagerly searching for a reader who will be cool and share their login with us.”
The post continued to stress how much the staff of the site would appreciate a working login so they can continue providing timely reviews while working with a tight media budget.
“We at The AV Club pay for enough streaming services as it is, so this would really help us out,” read the blog post, explaining that a DC Universe subscription, which costs $74.99 annually or $7.99 a month, just wasn’t affordable for the popular entertainment website at the moment. “Also, whoever responds to this, it would be really great if you could make sure not to log in to your account during business hours just in case there’s some limit to how many devices can use with one account at the same time. We don’t want to get you in trouble or anything.”
“We would also appreciate it if you let us know ahead of time if you’re going to change the password, or, worse, cancel the account,” the post added. “If you’re thinking of doing that because it’s too expensive, maybe we can at least split it or work something out.”
The AV Club’s post comes shortly after another recent request for a new Netflix login, after the long-used account belonging to a staff writer’s ex-boyfriend’s sister had its password suddenly changed.
